Design Concept
VERSĀ is an app that generatesĀ a new playlist each morning based on the forecast. Grounded in the observation that emotional associations with weather vary from person to person, the project explores how environmental conditions and music influence individual mood and perception. By prioritizing personalization and perceptual variety, VERS creates a platform that encourages users to consider their relationship with the world around them through sound.
The visual identity combines free-flowing gradients with clean monospace typography to communicate shifting weather conditions and their corresponding playlists. Primary weather icons draw inspiration from the forms of audio frequency waves, establishing a visual connection between music and the environment while introducing rhythm and movement into the interface. Together, these elements create a cohesive visual language that balances structure with fluidity, reflecting the constantly changing nature of weather and musical expression.
VERS positions personalization as both a functional and visual priority, embracing the individuality of each user's experience. Through its integration of environmental data, music discovery, and expressive art direction, the app transforms a daily weather check into a curated sonic experience.
